Creative Clothing ..... Rescue & Redesign

I seem to get holes in all my favorite cloths. Have you noticed how something you hate lasts forever, and you sure aren't going to bother mending them.

My #1 Most Valuable Tip
for Clothing Rescue

Everyone has hundreds of dollars worth of Faded Black Jeans and
T-shirts.

They are always the ones that are just the right style to go with that particular outfit. It would cost a fortune to replace them, even if you could find something that worked just as well.

Collect a Few Faded Black Items and throw them into a Black Dye Bath and they will be fresh and Black again like new.

*Use lots of dye, you want as deep a black as possible.

The dye will not over power another colour. For instance a pink garment dyed black will still have the pink undertones.

There are some cloths that I would like to last a little longer.

There are other garments that I think that I would like a whole lot better redesigned to make them different and special.

Tip #2... Everyone has been frying food and made the mistake of wearing a favourite top without an apron. Instantly as soon as you see the grease spots, slather them with dish soap (for hand washing) and let them soak for a while.

Then hand wash, rubbing the spots gently. Don't overwork or you can remove some of the dye a create a light spot.

Every garment is unique and requires a different redesign idea.
I am sharing a few examples of things I've done and talk about why I made some of the choices I did and how they turned out.
