Here is a list of links to the steps for making wide bias tape.

Make Wide Bias Tape from Scratch

Sewing Your Wide Bias Tape

The ends of the fabric strips are sewn diagonally to prevent a big lump of seam allowances in one spot. It also allows them to be sewn on the straight of the fabric rather than the bias which would stretch.

Line up fabric for stitching

Step I- Stitch

Line up the fabric as shown and stitch lengths together.

Step II- Stitch

Press open the seam and trim the extra point to remove bulk.

Stitch

Stitch facing to back ground with the right sides together.

The width of the seam allowance determines the width of the finished bias tape.

There are 3 different ways I have used to finish the bias tape at this stage. To see the choices go to Finishing Bias Tape
