Example of Lazy Daisy Stitch used as Leaves

This is an example of Lazy Daisy Stitch used to create leaves on this Christmas Tree Ornament.

This stitch was named Lazy Daisy Stitch because it is often used to create Daisies. It is often used to create small leaves as it is here.

Lazy Daisy Stitch is part of the Chain Stitch Family.

Start Lazy Daisy Stitch

Come up from the back at the point of the leaf.

Start the next stitch by going back down the same hole and back up where you want the stitch to end. Loop your thread around the needle and gently pull through.
