These pretty roses are great for traditional embroidery patterns.

Start Bullion Knot Stitch Rose

To make a bullion knot stitch rose start with two bullion knot stitches side by side in the centre of the rose.

Place the third Bullion Knot Stitch

The third bullion stitch is placed at an angle accross one end of the first two bullion stitches.

Place the fourth Bullion Knot Stitch

The fourth boulion knot stitch crosses over the end of third bullion knot stitch and the ends of the first two Bullion Knot Stitches. bullion knot stitches.

Place the fifth Bullion Knot Stitch

Place the fifth Bullion Knot Stitch accross the ends of the third & fourth Bullion Knot Stitch.

This is the place where I finished the roses in the Christmas Tree Ornament above.

I've added the last Bullion Knot Stitch to enlarge the Rose. More Bullion Knot Stitches and I think that it would start to lose the rose shape.
