Crochet Tips for Beginners

# 1 Tip: A beginner has an easier time if they choose patterns where the finished size is not critical to the success of the project. Snowflakes, Scarves or Afghans are not ruined if they turn out a little larger or smaller than stated in the pattern. If you are using a current pattern, where the yarn indicated is available, all you need to do is buy the yarn and use the stated crochet hook size. If sizing is critical, I would still make a sample to check the tension. If the sample is too small, you tend to be very tight and need to use a larger hook. If the sample is too large; you tend to work loosely and need a smaller hook.
