Fun/Craft Foam & Beads

The first time I laid eyes on fun foam, I thought it was just plain cool. It has the Bright Colours of Construction Paper. It is just as easily cut into shapes as construction paper but is more rigid and will hold its shape. It can be sewn and beaded. It is like felt, the edges do not need to be finished.

Christmas Tree Ornaments

I've gone just a little crazy with these Christmas Tree Ornaments. It is fun working on them, and while I am working on one, I get ideas for the next one I want to do.

It combines all the best features of felt and coloured paper and is somehat rigid as well, so that I can do 3 dimensional shapes.

Some of my designs, particularly the flat ones, would work just as well with felt.

Some such as The Minaret need the rigidity of the fun foam to hold the weight of the beads. I bet that I will be doing some felt ornaments as well, before I am finished. I can feel more ideas percolating.

You can change the colors of the Christmas Tree Ornaments to suit your personal taste.

This means that you can choose to do a whole tree in a single color theme.

Looking at them as a group, I realize that I appear to be into purples and pinks these days. I have always in the past had a preference for the hot colors like red. Red and green would make a good traditional theme for a Christmas Tree.

Pink, Purple or Blue would be lovely for a more modern tree theme.
