Cloisonne Inspired Cross Stitch Ornaments
This is a set of ornaments that I made approximately 20 years ago. I don't know what magazine they came from nor who designed them. I know that I used only an approximation of the colours, because I used thread that I had on hand to make them. For these instructions I have worked out a georgeous colour scheme, matching the original ornaments that I made but substituting with some lovely DMC Cyclamen Pink Colours.
I think that I was attracted to them because of the navy background Aida Fabric. I had been sewing with some Chinease Brocade that remineded me of them, so I finished them with the Red Silk Back and Gold Trim and just because more is better a Purple Tassel.
